We’re Hiring: Event Coordinator (8-Week Summer Position)

About the Role

Grow Twillingate Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Event Coordinator to join our team for the summer! This role is made possible through the Canada Summer Jobs Program, and the successful applicant will be instrumental in helping coordinate the Unscripted Twillingate Digital Arts Festival — Atlantic Canada’s first digital arts festival — taking place September 18–21, 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative and cultural initiative aimed at enriching Twillingate’s tourism and arts community.

Who Can Apply

This role is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs Program, and to be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of the job.
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have been granted refugee status.
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work closely with the Program Coordinator to help plan and execute events. Your tasks will include:

  • Assisting with day-to-day operations.
  • Supporting the marketing team with tasks like image editing, content writing, and general promotion.
  • Preparing event venues.
  • Attending planning and team meetings.
  • Taking on additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth event execution.

What We’re Looking For

We value passion, creativity, and teamwork. Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace.
  • Interest or experience with basic design tools like Canva or WordPress.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings during events.
