She has been making street art from Twillingate since 2015, and has installed art in 9 countries to date. Her art is temporary, positive and typically constructed using free form crochet and yarn. However, Nina also regularly experiments with other forms of street art including stenciling, wheat-pasting, and tape art, including life sized tape sculptures. She keeps a blog, rockvandal.com where she shares her work and interviews cool street artists from around the world. I am originally from Hamilton, Ontario and credit living in outport Newfoundland for shaping my artistic development. I use readily available materials, simple techniques and perceive the world as my gallery. I make art that is intended to surprise and delight, and cause you to stop and enjoy a moment. My work is inspired by positive psychology, yoga philosophy and life as I know it.
