Roger Maunder was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He has independently produced, written and directed a number of films, including the political thriller Between Two Walls.
His film Cut From the Same Cloth aired on CBC TVs ‘Canadian Reflections’ and the multi-award-winning short drama Swallowed, which also appeared on ‘Canadian Reflections’ as well as ‘Bravo.’
His short The White Balloon screened at the L.A. Children’s Film Festival. He has also directed many music videos for bands/musicians that have become YouTube sensations, such as Shanneygannock’s “Home Boys Home” as well as Colleen Power’s “New Townie Man.”
In 2007 Maunder’s debut novel MUNDY POND was published by Creative Book Publishing. It is currently in the development stages of a feature film.
Maunder also created the St. John’s Nickel Film Festival. He also mentors First Time Filmmaker programs. Roger Maunder owns his own production company, Up Sky Down Films, in St.John’s, NL.
