Mel believes in the power of creativity to shift perceptions, inspire action, and create positive change and momentum in our region. As Senior Creative Strategist with NATIONAL Public Relations, Mel brings ideas and stories to life for a broad range of clients —including Nova Scotia Tourism, Divert NS, and Atlantic Credit Unions, to name a few — combined with over 10 years of experience in the marketing and communications industry means she is adept at seeing the bigger picture for every project she works on. She holds an Advanced Diploma, Public Relations from NSCC and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Dalhousie University.
As creative lead for Atlantic Credit Unions, Mel collaborates with the broader team to develop and execute award winning creative concepts like Lost Wallets — a project that not only earned international media attention, but also brought credit union values to life in a tangible and relatable way. Mel also was instrumental in bringing Your Two Cents — a reboot of the popular 90’s CBC series Street Cents — to life through a collaborative partnership with Atlantic credit unions, and Canadianity Content Studios.
Mel likes to ask why. She likes to solve complex problems. And in the evenings, she likes to turn her amp up to 11 and play bass with her band.
