The Art Exhibition Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the Signal Fire Art Exhibition. This role involves managing exhibition logistics, supervising staff
and volunteers, providing excellent visitor services, and ensuring the safety and security of the artworks.

This is an 8 week position 35 hrs/week, Aug 27-Oct 18, 2024. $668.00/week
Responsibilities:
Exhibition Setup and Management:
Assist curator with the installation and dismantling of the exhibition.
Ensure artworks are displayed according to the curatorial plan.
Maintain the exhibition space, ensuring it is clean and organized.
Visitor Services:
Greet and assist visitors, offering information about the exhibition and artworks.
Address visitor inquiries and feedback professionally.
Security and Maintenance:
Implement security protocols to protect the artworks.
Conduct regular checks to ensure the safety and condition of the artworks.
Event Coordination:
Assist in planning and executing exhibition-related events, such as openings, artist talks, and workshops.
Manage event logistics, including setup and teardown.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of attendance and visitor feedback.
Help coordinate schedules of gallery attendants.
Handle financial transactions related to the exhibition.
Prepare reports on exhibition activities and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Interest in art, culture, and heritage is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light cleaning duties.
- Comfortable working in a lighthouse setting with stair access to the gallery.
