Art of Intuitive Photography: NYC, COVID and BLM
Award-winning New York-based photographer, Mindy Veissid, will lead a workshop on intuitive photography, drawing examples from the past year’s experiences with COVID in New York City and the Black Lives Matter movement.
Learn how to get out of your head and into your heart when approaching photography. In this 2-hour workshop, Mindy emphasizes an intuitive approach to taking photographs, one where open awareness precedes technical perfection and aims to cultivate photography’s meditative potential.
Participants will practice being more mindful of their surroundings, attuned to the subjects that draw attention and learn to use their senses to guide them to the most meaningful images. Mindy will guide participants through different exercises using intuition, vulnerability, and trust to break away from the traditional and take a more experiential approach to photography.
