Who We Are
The Unscripted Twillingate Digital Arts Festival, hosted in Twillingate, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, is a four-day festival that celebrates all forms of digital art. The festival also features entertainment, adventure, and food; truly an experience to remember! Our motto is “learn, create, share and celebrate” and workshop experiences aim to draw participants of all ages from all over to Twillingate to do just that.
The festival will be held for four days, from Thursday, September 15 to Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022.
Workshops will be presented in Twillingate, NL.
All workshops must have a digital element; however, we are open to receiving any and all proposals that include some form of digital creativity with an instructional and practical component.
Emphasis will be on how attendees can participate during the workshop. At our previous festivals, digital topics have included filmmaking, photography, music, online publishing, animation, drawing, GPS, augmented reality, artificial intelligence and blogging.
We are interested in topics outside of this listing as well. Proposals should demonstrate how the workshop plans to incorporate the local landscape or a local experience.
Proposals should include the following:
Presenter name(s) & contact information
Workshop length (must be 60 – 90 minutes)
Target audience (youth, seniors, special interests, hobbyists, general, etc.)
Number of participants (min/max)
Participant skill level requirements (basic, intermediate, advanced)
How will Twillingate be incorporated into the content
Equipment requirements for participants (if any)
Two Professional Refernces
Videos or video links to previous work will be beneficial
Approval of any submission is at the sole discretion of the Unscripted Twillingate Digital Arts Festival Planning Committee.
The festival program is looking to provide a variety of workshop topics and formats; criteria for selection will include workshop topic, methodology, presenter capacity as well as all associated costs.
The deadline for receipt of proposals is 3 June 2022. Questions and submissions can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
