Deadline extended to August 7, 2020!
Who We Are
The Unscripted Twillingate – Digital Arts Festival, hosted in Twillingate, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, is a four-day festival that celebrates all things digital (photography, filmmaking, music, mixed media, etc.) combined with adventure, entertainment and food for an experience to remember! This year will be our sixth festival and a change from our usual format – our workshops and events will be virtual!
The festival will be held for four days, Thursday, September 17 to Sunday, September 20, 2020 inclusive.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s festival will be virtual. We will be using a mixture of live and recorded events across multiple platforms. Our workshops will be presented as online master classes using Zoom, making the workshop accessible to anyone in the world. Workshops will be adjusted to suit the webinar format while still finding ways to incorporate the inspiring environment in Twillingate.
All workshops must have a digital element; however, we are open to receiving any and all proposals that include some form of digital creativity with an instructional and practical component. Emphasis this year will be on how participants can engage with and complete a practical component of the proposed virtual workshop from their home. At our previous festivals, digital topics have included filmmaking, photography, music, online publishing, drawing, GPS, augmented reality and blogging. We are very interested in exploring topics outside of this listing as well.
If you are interested in presenting a digital art workshop please email email@example.com by August 7, 2020 and include the following:
Approval of any submission is at the sole discretion of the Unscripted Twillingate – Digital Arts Festival Planning Committee. As the festival program will look to provide a variety of workshop topics and formats, criteria for selection will include workshop topic, methodology, presenter capacity as well as all associated costs.
Deadline for receipt of proposals is Friday, August 7, 2020. Questions and submissions can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Visit our main page to see previous years’ workshops and presenters.
