The Unscripted Twillingate Digital Arts Festival is seeking proposals for experiential workshops that will be presented during the 2019 Festival.
Unscripted Twillingate – Digital Arts Festival, hosted in Twillingate, Newfoundland Labrador, Canada, is a four-day festival that celebrates all things digital combined with adventure, entertainment and food for an experience to remember!
2019 will be our fifth festival and again it will offer up something for everyone: for the person whose main tool is a smart phone or an iPad to the person with all the high-end gear, whether the participant is a wannabe, a social media nut, a hobbyist or really, really good at digital creating!
Our motto: “Learn, Create, Share and Celebrate” takes the form of workshops, entertainment, a feast, a digital arts exhibit and the annual Amazing Root Cellar Race.
Unscripted Twillingate is the place to create that next unscripted moment!
The festival will be held for four days, Thursday, September 19 to Sunday, September 22, 2019 inclusive.
All events will take place in Twillingate and area. Specific locations within the area will be dictated by workshop requirements and/ or requests along with availability and cost factors.
If you require or are interested in a particular type of environment for your workshop, please include details in your proposal. Indicate whether this is a necessity for your workshop or “a nice to have” so we can assess the submission accordingly.
All workshops must have a “digital” element; however, we are open to receiving any and all proposals that include some form of digital creativity in an experiential (hands-on) format. At our previous festivals, digital topics have included filmmaking, photography, music, online publishing, drawing, GPS, augmented reality and blogging. We would be very interested in exploring topics outside of this listing as well. Workshops must be a 3-hour/ half-day format. Please include the following in your proposal:
Presenter Name(s) & Contact Information
– Activity Overview
– Specify Audience (Youth, Seniors, Special Interests, Hobbyists or General)
– Number of Participants (Maximum/ Minimum)
– Participant Skill Level Requirements (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced)
– Location/ Space Requirements (Combination Indoor & Outdoor preferred)
– Equipment Requirements
– Weather Contingency Plan
– Presenter Fee
– Travel Requirements/ Fees
– Accommodations Requirements (This will be paid directly to accommodator)
Approval of any submission is at the sole discretion of the Unscripted Twillingate – Digital Arts Festival Planning Committee. As the festival program will look to provide a variety of workshop topics and formats, criteria for selection will include workshop topic, methodology, presenter capacity as well as all associated costs.
Deadline for receipt of proposals is May 15, 2019.
Questions and submissions can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
