Grow Twillingate is pleased to introduce the coordinator for its brand new Digital Arts Residency in Twillingate (DART) program that will start as a pilot program in 2020.
Let us introduce Meghan McKinnon:
Meghan is originally from Massachusetts and lived in Winnipeg for four years before moving to Twillingate this winter. She has a BA from Boston College and an MSc from the University of Western Ontario.
Meghan brings project management experience from her background in wildlife biology and a passion for art and community outreach. As a biologist she has worked with everything from fish and frogs to birds and nectar-feeding bats.
She has also had several roles in community outreach, leading educational activities and hands-on workshops about science and nature. In her spare time Meghan works on her own printmaking art inspired by a mix of life on the prairies and the east coast.
The Digital Arts Residency will be open to digital artists from Newfoundland and Labrador this year and a call for up to two artists will be announced as soon as Meghan gets her feet wet in her new role. The residency will conclude late September.
More details about the DART program will be available on this site and on social media soon.
